The Laureatte Room

The Laureatte room has magnificent ceilings with painted rosettes, a Victorian crystal chandelier, shuttered windows and large fireplaces. With turquoise plates and striking art, your dining experience will be thoroughly refined. The room honours the four South African Nobel Peace Prize winners – Chief Albert Luthuli, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, President FW de Klerk and President Nelson Mandela, whose specially commissioned portraits hang on its walls, as do those of former Cape prime ministers John X Merriman and Cecil Rhodes, and the famous British High Commissioner to South Africa, Lord Alfred Milner.

Merriman Room

The Merriman Room with its beautiful chandelier and fireplace offers guest a bar with relaxed seating arrangements were you can enjoy dinner, or just sit back whilst sipping away on a whiskey and puffing a cigar.

The Terrace

Our outside garden terrace offers a fantastic view of the this 19th century building and Table Mountain.
